Nia Jax made her WWE debut on the October 14 episode of NXT in 2015. A year later, she was drafted to the main roster and became a dominant superstar in the roster. In her WWE career, Jax won the RAW Women’s Championship and Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, she was released from the company in November 2021 as part of budget cuts.
This past Saturday, Nia Jax made her shocking return to WWE at the women’s Royal Rumble match as the #30 entry. She got all the women’s attention in the rumble match. Therefore, eleven women united to eliminate her from the top rope at the Royal Rumble match. Jax’s elimination received a huge reaction from San Antonio fans.
Usually, WWE brings back former WWE stars to the Royal Rumble matches. Last year, the company brought back Impact Knockout World Champion Mickie James to the Rumble match. Nia Jax’s status with WWE is also the same.
The 38-year-old star has been advertised for a meet & greet event on March 10th and 11th. The organizers of the event have advertised Nia Jax’s real name, “Lina Fanene” and further included “FKA Nia Jax” which means Jax hasn’t signed with WWE. If The Irresistible Force was signed with the company then she uses her WWE name.
