Nate Diaz Sues Fanmio For Fraud & Breach Of Contract After Jorge Masvidal Boxing Fight

Nate Diaz faced Jorge Masvidal in a 10-round boxing match on Saturday, July 6th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Diaz won the fight via majority decision (97-93, 98-92, 95-95).

TMZ reported that Jeremiah Reynolds, Nate Diaz’s attorney, filed a lawsuit against Fanmio (the company that promoted the Diaz vs. Masvidal boxing match) for fraud and breach of contract before the U.S. District Court in Miami on Monday.

The lawsuit stated that Nate Diaz agreed to a deal with Fanmio CEO Solomon Engel to fight Jorge Masvidal in a boxing match for $10 million. Diaz noted in the suit that Fanmio did not pay him $9 million.

Engel told Diaz that he couldn’t pay the outstanding amount because the fight didn’t generate a profit. Diaz mentioned that he would not have agreed to fight if he had known that he would not get paid.
