Naoya Inoue (27-0) last competed in May of this year, where he successfully retained the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO Super Bantamweight Championships by defeating Luis Nery (35-2) via KO in round 6.
ESPN reported that Naoya Inoue is scheduled to defend his Undisputed Junior Featherweight Championship against TJ Doheny in September in Tokyo. This will be his second undisputed title defense.
Inoue’s opponent, Doheny (26-4) last competed on May 6th in Tokyo, where he defeated Bryl Bayogos via TKO in the fourth round. As of July 6, The Ring has ranked Doheny as the world’s eighth-best super bantamweight.
