Miro has been absent from AEW television for nearly nine months. The former TNT Champion last competed at AEW Worlds End, where he faced Andrade El Idolo.
Fightful Select reported that Miro has requested his release from All Elite Wrestling. They added that the 38-year-old has been medically cleared to compete in a long time. Fightful added that the company and Miro haven’t been able to get on the same page creatively.
In 2022, Miro signed a four-year contract extension with AEW.
