The Elite competed in a Three-Way Tag Team match against House of Black and Jericho Appreciation Society for the AEW Trios Titles on the March 15th episode of AEW Dynamite. The House of Black won the match and retained the AEW Trios Title.
Last week, The Young Bucks were mysteriously attacked before Dynamite aired. Matt & Nick Jackson were then taken away in ambulances.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Matt Jackson suffered a partially torn bicep during the Three-Way Tag Team match in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. AEW aired an ambulance segment to write the Young Bucks off from television. Meltzer added that Matt Jackson opted not to undergo surgery. Meltzer further noted that Matt will be out for seven months if he underwent surgery.
“What I heard is that he opted to not get surgery, so he’s hopeful of being back quicker. Surgery you’re probably looking at seven months. The deal that they did on last week’s show with the ambulance and everything, we all thought it was this brilliant show-long storyline, and it worked, but the reason they did it was to cover for Matt being gone for a while.”
