In 2021, Logan Paul made his WWE debut as Sami Zayn’s guest on the April 2nd episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Since then, Logan made sporadic appearances in WWE and competed four times.
Each time, Logan Paul proved that he is one of the best performers in pro wrestling and his match with Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel confirmed it.
This past Saturday, the 27-year-old star made his return to WWE as the No. 29 entry at the men’s Royal Rumble match and lasted in the final four.
During the Rumble match, Logan Paul and Ricochet hit the springboard clothesline each other in the mid-air. The spot gained huge attention from the mainstream and social media. Even Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted about that.
On the Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul commented on the springboard clothesline spot at the men’s Royal Rumble match. The Maverick said that he had doubts about the possibility of performing that move.
“The move, we both do a springboard. When this move was pitched to me, I was like, ‘is that possible?’ Generally, when I have that reaction, it’s a good thing because if it is (possible), it’s incredible. I don’t think it’s been done before. The wrestling purists will perhaps come down on me for this, but I don’t think it’s been done before, which is what I like to do. I like to chase those moments that are really fresh and create that social media buzz. Mid-air, me and Ricochet clothesline each other at 1000 miles an hour, and then, when we landed because we’re falling from seven, eight feet, I crawl out of the ring, I have some time there to sit on the edge. Someone gave me PRIME, shoutout to that person. Got back in the ring and managed to finish it.”
