Last night, John Cena and AJ Styles challenged The Bloodline to a tag team match. All four superstars were slated to sign the contract ahead of the tag team bout in the final segment of SmackDown. However, Jimmy and Solo attacked Styles in the backstage. The Phenomenal One was then taken to a local medical facility. John Cena then got into a brawl with Jimmy and Solo. The Bloodline got the upper hand.
PWInsider reported that LA Knight was supposed to help John Cena in the final segment of SmackDown. However, Knight was tested positive for Covid earlier in the day. Therefore, he left the building as soon as the result came. PWInsider added that “Knight gave the company permission to pass on his status.”
The creative team had to change the plan after LA Knight’s absence. PWInsider further noted that Knight was supposed to align with John Cena and have a tag team match after SmackDown went off the air.
The 16-time World Champion competed in a dark match against Montez Ford. Cena picked up the victory with an Attitude Adjustment.
