Kayla Braxton Reveals Why She Decided To Leave WWE

Last June, Kayla Braxton left WWE after working for the company for eight years. Braxton last appeared on the June 28th episode of Smackdown at the Madison Square Garden. During her time in WWE, she served as a backstage interviewer for NXT, RAW, and SmackDown and co-hosted WWE’s Bump.

Kayla Braxton recently appeared on The Nikki & Brie Show, where she discussed her WWE departure. Braxton said she has done everything as an announcer in WWE. The 33-year-old added that she decided to leave the company to pursue new opportunities.

“I was under contract. Announcers, we operate very differently. I just realized, within myself, after 8 years, I’ve done everything I can do here [WWE]. You know how the schedule is at WWE. It’s very hard to [accomplish] anything else you want to do. I just felt like I was starting to miss out on opportunities outside of the company. I wasn’t doing much anymore at my former position. I just had to make the decision, not knowing necessarily what I was about to do [at] that moment, but I had to walk away. It was all amicable; I just knew it was time for me to peace out.”
