UFC 305 took place last night at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeated Tai Tuivasa via split decision (29–28, 27–30, 30–27) at the event.
Judge Howie Booth scored the fight in favor of Tai Tuivasa. According to Booth, Tuivasa won all three rounds, but in reality, it was completely the opposite. Fans expressed their displeasure on social media after Bruce Buffer read the scorecards.
Kevin Lole reported that Howie Booth was supposed to judge the co-main event between Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg. Lole added that Booth was removed from the judging duty for UFC 305 after the controversial scorecard.
“Howie Booth, who had Tuivasa winning 3-0, was scheduled to work co-main event between Kara-France and Erceg, but I have been told he has been PULLED from the bout. He’s done for the night. #UFC305”
Judge Ben Cartlidge replaced Howie Booth in the co-main event.
