Jon Moxley's NJPW In-Ring Return Confirmed

Jon Moxley last competed in NJPW at the “Night Before Rumble on 44th Street” pay-per-view in October last year, where he teamed up with Kazuchika Okada, YOH, Amazing Red, Eddie Kingston, and Homicide to defeat El Phantasmo, Jay White, Juice Robinson, Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs, and Tom Lawlor in a Twelve-Man Elimination Tag Team match.

NJPW’s next pay-per-view event, Resurgence is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 21st at the Long Beach Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California. The promotion announced that the former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is set to compete at the pay-per-view. However, his opponent hasn’t been announced yet.

Resurgence is going to be a huge event, several big names are scheduled to compete at the event. The former IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone will face Stephanie Vaquer at the Resurgence. The winner will advance to the final of the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship tournament. The new champion will be crowned on the same night.

In addition to that, Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Will Ospreay in the second match of the tournament to determine the No. 1 contender for the IWGP United States Champion.
