John Cena made his return to WWE on the June 27th episode of Monday Night RAW to celebrate his 20th anniversary with the company. During that episode of RAW, Austin Theory was involved in a segment with John Cena. At the time, many fans expected Cena will face Theory at SummerSlam. However, the match was not taken place at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
Last month, Logan Paul expressed his interest in working with John Cena at WrestleMania 39. Recently, WrestleVotes reported that Cena is expected to wrestle at next year’s show of shows. However, as of now John Cena’s status at WrestleMania 39 is still up in the air.
Now, Variety reported that John Cena is scheduled to appear on the December 30th episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Tampa, Florida.
“Variety has learned exclusively that the iconic professional wrestler and actor is set to appear on the final “SmackDown Live” of the year on Dec. 30, which will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL.”
