Jiri Prochazka Reveals Health Issues Before UFC 303 Fight Against Alex Pereira

Last week, Jiri Prochazka (30-5-1) faced Alex Pereira (11-2) for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prochazka lost to Pereira via KO in round 2.

In an interview with CNN Prima, Jiri Prochazka stated that he had dealt with several health issues before the fight against Alex Pereira.

“The last two weeks have been health-wise… Even though I said everything was fine, it wasn’t…This was manifested by staphylococcus, a spot on the body after a tick bite, an unhealed wound on the leg, and a crunch in the back after heavy lifting.”
