Jeff Hardy made headlines in the pro wrestling world with his latest DUI arrest in Volusia County, Florida in June. Hardy was later bailed out of jail after paying a $3,500 bond. The former world champion’s court date was postponed several times and now Hardy is scheduled to appear in court on October 19th for hearing the matter.

AEW President Tony Khan suspended Jeff Hardy a few days after the DUI arrest and Khan forced Hardy to get treatments for his substance abuse issues.

During AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum, Tony Khan gave an update on Jeff Hardy and stated that “I will say, Jeff is in treatment and doing better. I talked to Matt about it the other day and we’ll be here and we’ll support him for what he needs.”

Many fans are waiting to see The Charismatic Enigma back in AEW and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Jeff Hard will make his return to AEW soon.

“Jeff Hardy is expected to be out of rehab soon and back in the ring.“

On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt discussed Jeff’s potential AEW return.

“That sounds great. Pretty exciting, we’re getting close to the point where we meet the new Jeff and we figure out his future and what he ends up doing. I’m pretty excited because I feel like his mentality is that he knows he has to make changes and do what’s right and I feel like he’s at the point where he will this time around. I’m excited to have him back and I think [teaming with Jeff and Wardlow] would be amazing, would be so much fun.“

H/T Ringside News

Tony Khan has been facing a lot of difficulties in the past few weeks and he even has to suspend several AEW wrestlers and officials due to a backstage fight during the All Out media scrum. The company has a lack of star power after several suspensions and adding Jeff Hardy to the roster is the better option right now.
