This past Saturday, Jake Paul picked up his 10th boxing win after defeating Mike Perry (0-2) in the sixth round. Paul’s next fight will take place later this year against 58-year-old Mike Tyson. However, he called out UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira for a potential boxing match.
Before Perry’s fight, Jake Paul responded to Conor McGregor’s dweeb comment. Paul said that he was going to embarrass the BKFC. McGregor called Paul the “biggest pi—bag” after Paul’s TKO win over Perry this past Saturday.
On his podcast, Jake Paul was asked about Conor McGregor’s social media statement. Paul said McGregor is addicted to drugs. He also said the Irishman is hiding behind Dana White’s UFC contract. Paul further said he wants to face a tougher opponent like Pereira.
“Angry cokehead. The guy’s on Twitter, the guy’s on yachts, the guy’s on cocaine, but the guy’s not in the ring winning fights like me. He won’t fight me; I’ve said it since a long time ago. Conor McGregor is owned by Dana White; he probably can’t get out of his contract, but that’s what he will hide behind because he’s not going to get in there. All the sh-t talk, but he won’t put it on the line, and I want a tougher challenge than McGregor, f–k McGregor, I want Alex Pereira, the Light Heavyweight Champion.
People say everything about the weight difference. 40 lb, 40 whatever. I was 212 lb in the ring, so 10 lb difference, that’s common in boxing. Alex Pereira rehydrates to 240 lb. So I want someone who, when I f–k them up like I did tonight, there are no excuses. Alex Pereira is six-foot-four, 240-pound kickboxing world champion [and] two-division champion in UFC, and when I beat him, what the f–k can they say? Keep writing me off; that’s what people have done in every facet of my life since I was eight years old. I can’t be stopped and let’s go Alex Pereira is who I want.
