Grayson Waller last competed on the April 25th WWE NXT, where he faced Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship. Waller failed to capture the title. He was then drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2023 WWE draft.
Last month, Grayson Waller appeared in a backstage segment with Adam Pearce on the May 12 episode of SmackDown. Since then, Waller hosts the “Grayson Waller Effect” talk show on the blue brand. AJ Styles, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair appeared on the show as special guests.
Last week, Pretty Deadly appeared on the talk show to hype their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match. This Friday on SmackDown, Logan Paul will be the latest guest on the Grayson Waller Effect.
Many fans questioned the reason for Grayson Waller not competing on the blue brand. Today, Waller posted a video clip on Twitter and revealed that he suffered a broken leg during the match against Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.
“In my last match against Carmelo Hayes on NXT, I broke my leg. Clean break of the fibula.”
