Former Stardom Executive Producer Rossy Ogawa started the Marigold promotion after being fired by Bushiroad. Marigold held its debut event, Marigold Fields Forever, this past Monday. At the show, Giulia teamed up with Utami Hayashishita to face Bozilla and Sareee in a Tag Team match.
Unfortunately, Giulia fractured her right wrist during the match. The injury occurred when Bozilla landed on Giulia’s hand after delivering a Samoan Drop.
Marigold announced that the former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion will miss Thursday and upcoming events due to the injury.
“Giulia’s right wrist was injured in yesterday’s inaugural match. Today, her doctor examined her and diagnosed her with a fracture. Unfortunately she will miss the Hana Kimura show on the 23rd, and upcoming shows for the time being. We apologize and thank you for understanding.”
On X, Giulia issued the following statement:
“I will be absent due to an injury to my right arm.
I feel disheartened that I will have to miss this important inaugural series.I believe that everyone will do their best to make up for what I have done!
I will do everything I can outside of the tournament!
I will definitely return to Ryogoku!Marigold is fine! Thank you!
