Eric Bischoff and Tony Khan are currently not on good terms. Bischoff and Khan were involved in a verbal war on X after Khan’s controversial statement last week. Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer explained why he doesn’t respect the AEW President.
On the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff said that he’s glad he doesn’t have to work under a guy like Tony Khan. Bischoff further said that he doesn’t respect Khan because of a disrespectful comment about Ted Turner.
“I thank the Lord every day that I don’t have to go to work for a guy like Tony Khan. I stayed supportive of Tony Khan until November two years ago, [when] Tony Khan made an ignorant comment about Ted Turner. Completely ignorant. Tony doesn’t have a f–king clue what went on in WCW and why it’s not around. The only thing he knows is what Dave Meltzer told him. It was disrespectful and ignorant. Once someone disrespects publicly someone I respect, they go on a different list. I don’t care if you’re a trust fund baby who owns a wrestling company. I no longer have any respect for you.”

In October 2021, Tony Khan stated that WCW would have survived if the former owner, Ted Turner, had been aware of pro wrestling.
“I’ve never met Ted Turner. It’s very possible Ted Turner is smarter than me, but he didn’t know 1% of what I know about professional wrestling or WCW would still be on TNT/TBS.”
