Eddie Kingston suffered a tubular fracture to his leg during the No Rope Last Man Standing match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence. Kingston’s leg was injured after hitting the guardrail while taking a suplex through a table.
PWInsider reported that Kingston suffered a torn ACL and meniscus during the match as well. They added that he is set to undergo surgery. Therefore, The Mad King will be out of action for the rest of the year.
“Kingston confirmed that he suffered tears to his ACL and meniscus as well. They will require surgery. While Kingston had hoped to be back by AEW’s All In: London, his post-surgery recovery will likely mean he will be out closer to nine months. If that timeline stands to be correct, Kingston would be out until January 2025.”
Kingston stated the following when PWInsider was asked about his injury:
“This is part of the game. Injuries happen. I will be back.”
