Eddie Kingston Comments On Tribalism Between WWE & AEW Fans

Eddie Kingston is currently holding the AEW Continental Championship, the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship, and the ROH World Championship. The 42-year-old last defended his titles against Willie Mack on the January 27th episode of AEW Collision.

In an interview with FOX 8, Eddie Kingston was asked about internet wrestling communities’ tribalism between WWE and AEW. Kingston stated that he likes to see both companies doing four or five million in viewership. He added that this industry should survive.

“I’m gonna say AEW is the best because they’re the ones who pay me and they’re the ones that took a chance on me. But I want both companies to have four or five million people watching. I want eight million people watching both shows because I want this business to survive. Because this business, people take this lightly, but in all honesty, this business saved my life.”
