Drew McIntyre is currently sidelined with an injury after WrestleMania 39. He is also reportedly not in a good relationship with the company regarding his contract situation.

Fightful Select reported that Drew McIntyre’s current WWE deal is set to expire between January to March of next year. Fightful also noted that “if things aren’t working for both sides by the time his deal is up, McIntye is willing to explore options elsewhere, and leave the door open to return to WWE in the future.”

Fightful added that McIntyre was unaware of being drafted to Monday Night RAW during the 2023 WWE Draft. There have been several perceived miscommunications between McIntyre and WWE over the past few years.

Fightful further noted that WWE has been pitched for McIntyre to return as a heel on RAW. However, Scottish Warrior wasn’t keen on the idea. He reportedly doesn’t want any major changes unless it makes sense.
