Drew McIntyre last competed against Sheamus and Gunther in a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship on night two of WrestleMania 39. The Ring General retained the title by hitting a Powerbomb on McIntyre.

In recent weeks, multiple news outlets reported that McIntyre’s WWE deal is set to expire later this year. Wade Keller of PW Torch noted that McIntyre isn’t satisfied with his position in the company and the money that WWE offered for his new deal.

The Scottish Warrior was supposed to compete on last week’s SmackDown but was pulled from the show. McIntyre is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed health issue.

PWInsider reported that Drew McIntyre and WWE aren’t close to signing a new contract. The WWE management believes McIntyre will let his current deal expire.

As of now, Drew McIntyre has blackout his Twitter account. He has also removed the WWE references from his Twitter bio.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
