CM Punk made his return to WWE for the first time in nine years after Team Cody won the WarGames match at Survivor Series. Punk received a huge ovation from his hometown crowd.
PWInsider reported that CM Punk and WWE had their first conversation last week. The deal is believed to be “several years in length.” WWE management has seen Punk’s return as the “new beginning.” Both parties agreed to the deal today.
At one point, WWE management had planned to hold CM Punk’s return at Royal Rumble. However, they rushed the plan before it leaked.
