The Rock made his return on the February 2nd episode of SmackDown and had a segment with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The Hollywood megastar attempted to steal Cody’s spot at WrestleMania 40. However, that didn’t sit well with the fans. Therefore, The Rock had to turn heel and join The Bloodline.
This past Friday on SmackDown, The Rock officially became a member of The Bloodline. The Great One said that he would do anything to make Cody Rhodes a loser at WrestleMania 40.
CM Punk attended UFC 298 last night. In an interview with TNT Sports, Punk was asked about The Rock’s WWE return.
“I think it’s fantastic. Ten years ago, I was the guy that wrestled The Rock when he came back. Now, ten years later, he’s coming back. I think the landscape is completely changed. WrestleMania is two nights now, it’s even bigger. Him [The Rock] coming back only helps. I always say high tide raises all ships. So I’m just happy that even though I’m hurt, I’m still gonna be kind in the mix. My mouth still works, I’m gonna still be able to talk some trash. I don’t know if you saw the kickoff we did in Las Vegas with The Rock, Roman, Seth, and Cody. It was a lot of fun, and I hope to continue to do that while I’m recuperating because I can always just talk trash with the best of them. It’s the best part. It’s what I do.”
