Clarification On Keith Lee Walking Out Of AEW

Clarification On Keith Lee Walking Out Of AEW

Last year, Keith Lee made his AEW debut on the February 9th episode of Dynamite, where he defeated Isiah Kassidy. However, Lee hasn’t done any notable thing on AEW television. Lee has wrestled only eleven matches this year.

The 38-year-old last competed on the August 4th episode of AEW Rampage, where he teamed up with The Hardys to defeat Kip Sabian and The Butcher & The Blade.

Recently, a rumor circulated that Keith Lee has walked out of All Elite Wrestling. Fightful Select squashed the rumor and clarified the entire situation. Fightful Select stated that Keith Lee was backstage at last week’s AEW Dynamite/Rampage tapings. Lee was told by the officials that he wasn’t on the card. Keith Lee then left the building. However, he was actually booked for the August 18th episode of Rampage. The card was then adjusted due to miscommunication between Lee and backstage officials.

“Those we’ve spoken to confirmed that Lee was at last week’s Dynamite and Rampage tapings. At some point, Lee was told he wasn’t being used for Dynamite, and left the building, as often happens when people are told they aren’t needed for a show. He was however, booked for Rampage at some point, but it wasn’t relayed to him before he’d left. The card was then adjusted.”

PWInsider reported that Keith Lee is spotted backstage ahead of tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
