Bryan Danielson Scheduled To Compete At Wrestle Kingdom 18 Despite Being Injured

Bryan Danielson last competed on the October 25th episode of AEW Dynamite, where he and Claudio Castagnoli defeated Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada in the main event. After the match, Danielson was checked by a medical person.

Three days later on AEW Collision, Claudio Castagnoli revealed that his fellow BCC member sustained a broken orbital bone. This past Wednesday, Tony Schiavone confirmed during Control Center that Danielson underwent surgery. The American Dragon will be out of action until late December.

NJPW WrestleKingdom 18 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 4th at the Tokyo Dome, in Tokyo, Japan. Today, NJPW aired a video package of Bryan Danielson challenging Kazuchika Okada to a match at the company’s biggest event.

Danielson suffered an arm injury during that match. Danielson faced Okada for the second time in a Tag Team match a week ago on Dynamite.
