Bryan Danielson Reportedly Stepping Away From Pro Wrestling Next Year

Last week, Bryan Danielson made his return to AEW Collision after being recovered from a fractured forearm. Danielson wrestled Ricky Starks in a Strap match at All Out last Sunday. The American Dragon picked up the victory in the match.

During the All Out post-show media scrum, Bryan Danielson indicated that he will be retiring from the squared circle in the near future.

Last night, Danielson addressed the fans and said that he promised his daughter to retire from pro wrestling once she turned seven. Danielson said that she is now six years old.

“I told my daughter, once she turned 7, I would start finishing up on my career. She’s six right now, and I’m a man who keeps my promises, especially to the people I love. So guess what time is running out… If this is my final year, this will be the most epic year of my career.

Bryan Danielson challenged Zack Sabre Jr. to a match on Sunday, October 1 at WrestleDream. Ricky Starks along with Big Bill interrupted Danielson and attacked him. Jon Moxley came for Danielson’s aid. However, Starks and Bill got the upper hand.

Sports Illustrated reported that Bryan Danielson will be stepping away from pro wrestling as a full-time performer in the next year. However, Danielson will remain a special attraction for AEW.
