Bryan Danielson Comments After Losing To Kazuchika Okada At Wrestle Kingdom 18

Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada wrestled twice in All Elite Wrestling. Their first match took place at Forbidden Door last June, where Danielson picked up the victory after putting the Lebell Lock on Okada. In their second encounter, Okada teamed up with Orange Cassidy to defeat Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli on the October 25th episode of AEW Dynamite.

Wrestle Kingdom 18 took place today at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. In the co-main event, Kazuchika Okada defeated Bryan Danielson with a Rainmaker. After the bout, both men shook hands to show their respect for each other.

After his match at Wrestle Kingdom 18, American Dragon said that he waited thirteen years to compete at the Tokyo Dome.

“Even in losing, that’s what I’ve wanted for the last 13 years, coming to the Tokyo Dome, and wrestling someone like Okada. [The] last time I wrestled Okada, I was disappointed he tapped out. [But] today, I wrestled Okada, with the fire that makes him the best wrestler in the world.”
