Brock Lesnar Reportedly Taking A Hiatus From WWE

This past Saturday at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar faced Cody Rhodes for the third and final time. The Beast dominated Cody earlier in the bout. However, The American Nightmare refused to give up. Cody Rhodes delivered three Cross Rhodes on Lesnar to win the match.

Brock Lesnar endorsed Cody Rhodes after the match. He shook Cody’s hand and hugged him. Triple H stated during the SummerSlam press conference that it was a completely unplanned moment.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that Brock Lesnar was supposed to wrestle at Fastlane. However, that is no longer the case. Meltzer added that Lesnar will take at least four months off from WWE and he will be back during WrestleMania season.

“Brock was originally advertised on one of the pay-per-views [Fastlane] later this year, but he’s not gonna be on it, He’s going to be gone for a while. No time soon, as far as [the] next four months or something like that … I mean, he’ll be back for [Wrestle]Mania season. He is coming back. So that’s the situation with him.”
