Athena Reportedly Injured At ROH Taping

By The Spotlight StaffMay 18, 2024
Athena Reportedly Injured At ROH Taping

Athena faced Viva Van on this past Thursday’s Ring of Honor television taping. ROH Women’s Champion suffered a leg injury during the match, according to PWInsider.

The injury occurred after taking a bump through the middle rope. PWInsider noted that Athena was spotted limping following the move. She delivered a forearm smash on Van for two counts. Athena then covered Van again to pick up the victory.

PWInsider further noted that “Athena stayed in character after the bout but upon leaving the ring, did not put any weight on her left leg and hopped out while being assisted by the referee and another staffer.”

Athena has been holding the ROH Women’s Championship for more than 500 days. She won the title by defeating Mercedes Martinez at ROH Final Battle in 2022.
