Andrade has officially parted ways with WWE once again, bringing an end to his second stint with the company. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Andrade is no longer on the internal roster and has already been shifted to the Alumni section of WWE’s website.
This marks the second time Andrade has left WWE. His first departure came in 2021, but he made a surprise return during the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble. While fans were hopeful for a strong comeback, his latest run was seen as underwhelming despite winning the WWE Speed Championship and nearly capturing the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2025, where he finished runner-up to Carmelo Hayes.
His exit comes as a surprise, especially since he was recently involved in a tag team storyline with Rey Fenix and even competed in the Six-Pack TLC Tag Team Championship match at SummerSlam.
Sports Illustrated reports that Andrade’s departure was not mutual, he was effectively released. He had not been backstage at TV tapings for almost a month, and many within WWE learned of his release only on Saturday.
Unlike past releases, this move was not related to budget cuts, though the exact reasons remain unclear. For now, Andrade’s future in pro wrestling is uncertain, but his time with WWE has once again come to an abrupt close.
UPDATE: “multiple sources indicate to Sports Illustrated that Andrade had at least one wellness policy violation this year, and was suspended without pay prior to his WWE release. They note he was escorted from a recent SmackDown taping as a result, and creative plans were changed.”
