Last month, AEW President Tony Khan suspended several wrestlers following a backstage altercation during the All Out media scrum. AEW backstage once again became a chaotic place due to two wrestlers involved in a real fight last night.
TMZ Sports reported that Andrade and Sammy Guevara were involved in a backstage fight at AEW Dynamite in Washington D.C. There were few words exchanged during the face-off and then things got physical. Both threw punches at each other. TMZ noted that Andrade has been sent home following the brawl.
AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Andrade were just involved in a backstage altercation, sources tells TMZ Sports, and Andrade has been sent home.
We’re told the incident happened at an AEW Dynamite show in Washington D.C. Wednesday night. Sources tell us words were exchanged, and then things turned physical. Sammy allegedly pushed Andrade, and then threw several punches. We’re told Andrade responded with a punch of his own.
This all began after Andrade hit too hard on Sammy Guevara during a match. In a recent interview with Mas Lucha, Andrade explained the situation.
I did have one issue with a wrestler. I am going to say his name, it was Sammy Guevara. I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl. After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it.
