AJ Styles last competed at WWE Live Event in Hershey, Pennsylvania on December 29th, where he teamed with Karl Anderson and Mia Yim to face Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley in a Six-Person Tag Team Match. However, the match didn’t end according to plan.
During the match, Balor threw Styles over the top rope. As a result, Styles suffered an injury and immediately gave the tag to Anderson after powerslammed Balor. Karl Anderson then put a roll up pin on Finn Balor to win the match. Following the match, Anderson and the referee carried AJ Styles backstage.
