AJ Mendez formally known as AJ Lee left from WWE in 2015 and then she retired due to injuries. Later she became a published author. Now AJ has returned to pro wrestling after her retirement.

AJ Mendez came to the stage during WOW Women Of Wrestling’s press conference and she said,

My goal after wrestling, was to create those characters for the next generation. So every little girl could see themselves on TV and know that nothing was impossible.

AJ is now officially a part of the promotion. She will be an executive producer and will provide color commentary for the show.

WOW was removed from AXS TV, but the promotion announced that they have signed a multiple-year deal for a relaunch under the ViacomCBS on September 2022.
