AEW star Brian Cage recently made a headline in pro wrestling due to his contract expiration. Some reported that Cage was finishing up with the company after ROH Supercard Of Honor XVI which took place on March 31st. However, that’s not the case.
Last week, Brian Cage’s Embassy merged with Swerve Strickland’s Mogul Affiliates on the April 7th episode of AEW Rampage. Many fans wanted to know Cage’s status with All Elite Wrestling in the past few days.
Fightful Select reported that one-third of the ROH Six Man Tag Team Champion has re-signed with the company. They noted that WWE had interested in signing Brian Cage but he accepted AEW’s offer.
“We’re told that several top talent had pushed for Cage to re-sign, but there were also top talent in WWE who were angling for him to end up there. We’re told WWE had some interest in Cage, but he ended up liking the offer made by AEW. Cage worked with an agent throughout the process.”
