Sammy Guevara told Chris Jericho that he wanted to punch Jericho. The Ocho said the same thing to Sammy. Jericho suggested that he and Sammy should have a match on September 20th at AEW GrandSlam. Sammy also agreed to it.
Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Skye Blue defeated Taya Valkyrie, Anna Jay, and The Bunny in a Six-Woman Tag Team match.
The Young Bucks defeated Angelo Parker and Matt Menard in a Tag Team match.
Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy to qualify for the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the September 8th episode of AEW Rampage drew 385,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (September 1) drew 372,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
