Tony Khan announced the All-In event which will be taking place at the Wembley Stadium in London, England. The Wembley Stadium has a capacity of 90,000. Therefore, many fans expect Punk to be able to help fill the stadium. In fact, a lot of fans hoping to see the match between CMFTR and The Elite at All In.
Recently, Dax Hardwood stated on their podcast that CM Punk has an idea to return to AEW television. “I talk to Punk almost every day, and Punk misses wrestling, that’s your headline, Punk misses wrestling, and Punk wants to come back. And he wants to give back to the fans, he wants to get back to wrestling.”
Fightful Select reported that AEW has tentative plans for CM Punk’s return. They stated that Punk could be returning to AEW on the June 21st episode of AEW Dynamite which will take place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL.
Fightful added that CM Punk is willing to work with Kenny Omega and Young Bucks on AEW television. However, “The Elite were not keen on the possibility of working with him.” Fightful also noted that “Punk had been trying to push for a meeting between everyone for quite a while, but we haven’t heard if any progress had been made.” Fightful further noted that a meeting was planned between Punk and Jericho to solve their issues.
