This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana. Orange Cassidy opened the show to address fans after losing the International Title to Jon Moxley at All Out. Cassidy said that he would appear every week.
Jon Moxley defeated AR Fox to retain the International Championship.
Kris Statlander defeated Emi Sakura to retain the TBS Championship.
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara faced the Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) in a Tag Team match. Jericho hit Fletcher with a Judas Effect to win the bout. However, Sammy and Jericho had an argument after the match. Sammy then left through the crowd.
MJF came to the ring to address the fans. Samoa Joe interrupted him and said that he would win the Grand Slam AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Joe also said that he would take the title from MJF. The two got into a brawl. Adam Cole then came for MJF’s aid. Joe left the ring.
Roderick Strong defeated Trent Beretta to qualify for the next round of the Grand Slam AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament.
Darby Allin defeated Nick Wayne to advance to the next round of the Grand Slam AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the September 6th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 887,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 30) drew 871,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
