This week’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. Renee Paquette interviewed Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega ahead of their Tag Team match against Don Callis Family. Adam “Edge” Copeland then joined the segment and shook Jericho’s hand. Omega introduced himself to Copeland.
Rey Fenix defeated Nick Jackson to retain the International Championship.
Wardlow squashed Griff Garrison.
Adam Cole went to Roderick Strong’s house to see what’s the emergency. Roderick then gave Cole a scooter and asked him to move furniture in the house. Cole asked Roderick why Matt Taven and Mike Bennett couldn’t do it. Roderick told Cole that The Kingdom knows nothing about interior designs. Cole finished the decoration and was about to leave. However, Roderick said that he still needed Cole’s help.
The Acclaimed defeated The Butcher, The Blade & Kip Sabian to retain the AEW World Trios Titles.
Jay White challenged MJF to a match for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear.
Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega defeated Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher in a Tag Team match. Powerhouse Hobbs attacked Jericho and Omega after the bout. Hobbs joined The Don Callis Family.
Toni Storm defeated Sky Blue.
In the final segment, Adam Copeland told Christian Cage that they should team up again. However, the TNT Champion refused Copeland’s idea.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the October 4th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 800,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
