This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at the FirstOntario Center in Hamilton, Ontario. The show kicked off with the match between Jon Moxley and Tomohiro Ishii. To win the match, Moxley hit a Double Underhook Brainbuster on Ishii.
Adam Cole and MJF were in a backstage segment on the show, where MJF revealed their new t-shirt. Orange Cassidy, Keith Lee & Vikingo defeated Jericho Appreciation Society in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
During the show, Dark Order challenged Adam Page and Young Bucks to a match. The Elite picked up the victory. However, Blackpool Combat Club attacked The Elite after the match. Moxley then announced that Blood & Guts will take place on Wednesday, July 19th.
Ruby Soho was supposed to wrestle Britt Baker on Dynamite. The match postponed to next week. Therefore, Soho defeated Alexia Nicole by using Baker’s Lockjaw submission. In the main event, Sting and Darby Allin defeated “Painmaker” Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara.
According to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily, the June 28th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 809,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (June 21) drew 902,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
