AEW Dynamite Viewership & Demo Rating For July 5

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy defeated Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland to advance in the Blind Eliminator tournament.

AEW aired a video clip of MJF and Adam Cole working in the gym together, where both of them expressed their hatred of Tony Schiavone. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn picked up a victory over The Bollywood Boyz & The Blade.

In a backstage segment, Matt Hardy’s tag team partner in the Blind Eliminator tournament was revealed as Jeff Jarrett.

Don Callis attempted to recruit Chris Jericho into their family. Jericho said that he won’t join factions, but he creates factions. However, Jericho responded to Callis’ offer by saying “Maybe.”

Blackpool Combat Club vs. The Elite in a Blood & Gut match was made official for July 19th.

MJF & Adam Cole defeated Matt Menard & The Butcher to qualify for the next round in the Blind Eliminator tournament. Following the match, MJF celebrated Cole’s birthday.

Ruby Soho defeated Britt Baker to advance in the Women’s Owen Hart tournament. Saraya and Toni Storm helped Soho to win the match.

In the main event, Kenny Omega faced Wheeler Yuta in a singles match. Konosuke Takeshita interfered in the match when the referee was distracted. However, Omega was able to win the match. Claudio Castagnoli and Takeshita attacked Omega after the match. The Elite made the save.

According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the July 5th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 855,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The previous episode (June 28) drew 809,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
