This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The show kicked off with the match between Adam Page and Claudio Castagnoli. Page picked up the victory after hitting two consecutive Buckshot Lariats on Castagnoli.
Adam Copeland, Dustin Rhodes, Orange Cassidy, and Preston Vance defeated Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona in an Eight-Man Tag Team match.
Renee Paquette interviewed Bullet Club Gold. The Acclaimed interrupted them and suggested that both factions should combine. Anthony Bowens suggested the name “Bang Bang Scissor Gang” for the faction. Jay White told Acclaimed that they needed to think about it.
AEW World Champion Samoa Joe addressed the fans. Swerve Strickland came to the ring and told Joe that he would take the title. Adam Page interrupted both men and said that he would win the AEW World Title this year. Hook then came to the ring and challenged Joe for the title next week.
Sammy Guevara defeated Ricky Starks. After the match, Big Bill and Starks attacked Guevara. Chris Jericho made the save.
Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa, Anna Jay, and Willow Nightingale defeated Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Ruby Soho, and Saraya in an Eight-Woman Tag Team match.
Roderick Strong defeated Bryan Keith. After the match, Adam Cole talked about Roderick, Taven, Bennett, and Wardlow’s talent. Cole said that the Undisputed Kingdom will stay in AEW for a long time.
In the main event, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Tag Team match. After the match, The Young Bucks made their return and stared down Sting & Darby Allin.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the January 10th episode of AEW Dynamite drew an average of 797,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
