This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jon Moxley faced Rush in the Gold League of the Continental Classic. Moxley defeated Rush with a Bulldog Choke. With that victory, Moxley earned a total of nine points in the tournament.
Renee Paquette interviewed Roderick Strong and The Kingdom. Roddy miraculously stood up from the wheelchair and said he didn’t need it anymore.
Swerve Strickland defeated Mark Briscoe in the Continental Classic. Strickland will face Moxley next Wednesday.
Samoa Joe came to the ring for the tag team match. Joe was surrounded by several masked men. MJF was then shown on the big screen, lying unconscious on the concrete floor. Joe quickly ran backstage to check on MJF.
Toni Storm defeated Skye Blue to retain the AEW Women’s Championship. After the match, Riho made her return and hit a Dropkick on Storm.
Jay White defeated Jay Lethal in the Continental Classic.
In the main event, Christian Cage faced Adam Copeland for the TNT Championship. Nick Wayne’s mom turned on Copeland in the closing moment of the bout, which allowed Christian to pick up the victory.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the December 6th episode of AEW Dynamite drew an average of 823,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
