This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite took place at the SaskTel Center in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The show kicked off with the match between Chris Jericho and Komander. Jericho put a Boston Crab on Komander to win the match.
Don Callis came to the ring and showed the old footage of him and Jericho with Bad News Brown. Callis once again offered Jericho to join his family.
Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia qualified for the next round in the Blind Eliminator Tournament by defeating Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy. Swerve Strickland helped Guevara & Garcia to win the match.
MJF & Adam Cole advanced to the next round in the Blind Eliminator Tournament by defeating Big Bill & Brian Cage.
Ruby Soho defeated Sky Blue to qualify for the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
In the final segment, Don Callis was interrupted by Kenny Omega. Omega attempted to walk to the ring, but BCC & Pac attacked him. Pac told Omega that he is the fifth member of BCC in the Blood & Guts match. Moxley and Takeshita placed Kenny’s head between a steel chair. PAC climbed to the top rope but suddenly lights went out. A video package was shown on the screen and Kota Ibushi was revealed as The Elite’s fifth member. The Young Bucks & Adam Page then came to the ring to save Omega.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the July 12th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 825,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (July 5) drew 855,000 viewers on TBS and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
