This past Saturday’s AEW Collision was pre-taped due to All In pay-per-view. The show opened with Jack Perry holding a retirement ceremony for the FTW Championship. However, Hook made his return and attacked Perry.
Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, and Penta El Zero Miedo defeated Kip Sabian, The Butcher, and The Blade in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
Dark Order defeated Darius Martin and Action Andretti in a Tag Team match.
In a backstage interview, Ruby Soho challenged Kris Statlander to a match for the TBS Championship at All Out. Statlander accepted Ruby’s challenge.
Keith Lee defeated Zicky Dice.
Big Bill defeated Vary Morales. After the match, Ricky Starks hit Morales with a belt.
In the main event, CM Punk, Sting, Darby Allin, and Hook defeated Jay White, Luchasaurus, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage in an Eight-Man Tag Team match. Punk put a Coquina Clutch on Cage to pick up the victory for his team. The show ended with a huge brawl.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the August 26th episode of AEW Collision drew 552,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 19) drew 482,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
