This past Saturday’s AEW Collision took place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tony Schiavone informed Ricky Starks that he will be suspended for 30 days because of him attacking Ricky Steamboat last week. Starks said that he has got a manager’s license, and he will be appearing every Saturday despite the suspension.
The Acclaimed defeated The Iron Savages in a Tag Team match.
Mercedes Martinez and Diamante defeated TBS Champion Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale in a Tag Team match.
Samoa Joe defeated Andrew Everett with a Coquina Clutch. After the match, Joe said that he didn’t get a response from CM Punk. Joe said that he would convince Punk to fight him at All In.
Luchasaurus defeated Brock Anderson to retain the TNT Championship. Darby Allin attacked Luchasaurus after the match. Allin then challenged Christian Cage to a match for this Saturday.
In the main event, The House of Black defeated CMFTR to retain the AEW World Trios Championship. During the match, Samoa Joe locked CM Punk with a Coquina Clutch. Brody King then hit a Lariat on Dax Harwood to retain the titles.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the August 12th episode of AEW Collision drew 476,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 5) drew 417,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
