In October 2019, dark matches, which took place before and after the AEW Dynamite broadcast, aired on AEW’s YouTube channel on Tuesdays. In 2021, AEW announced its third weekly show called AEW Dark Elevation. The show aired on Monday on their YouTube channel.

The purpose of both shows is to showcase the talent of young stars. However, AEW Dark and Dark Elevation have been canceled, and the final episode of Dark Elevation aired on April 24th.

Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast reported that AEW signed a new deal with Warner Bros Discovery to air AEW Collision. Zarian stated that WBD wanted all of AEW content on its network as part of the agreement, which was the reason for the cancellation of their YouTube shows.

“AEW Dark and Dark Elevation have ended for the time being. This in part has to do with AEW signing a new deal for AEW Collision to air on Saturdays. Part of the new deal is that AEW Wrestling content will exclusively air on WBD. As of today, this doesn’t include ROH.”
