The 2023 WWE Draft is beginning on the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, and concluded on the May 1st episode of Monday Night RAW.

Three weeks ago, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced that every superstar is eligible for the 2023 WWE Draft.

In 2021, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville announced the draft picks. There’s no word on who will announce this year’s draft picks. However, PWInsider reported that the WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long is scheduled to appear on the upcoming SmackDown in Corpus Christi, Texas. He will also appear for WWE RAW at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Teddy Long joined WWE as a referee in 1998 and continued in that role until 2002. He then became a heel manager from 2002 to 2004, managing several superstars including D’Lo Brown, Mark Henry, and Jazz. In July 2004, Teddy was appointed as the on-screen SmackDown General Manager. In 2012, Teddy Long stepped down from the GM role after his team lose to Team Johnny at WrestleMania 28. He was then released from WWE in 2014. Teddy Long was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
