Last Saturday, CM Punk made his shocking return during Team Cody’s WarGames victory celebration. Punk’s return video garnered 71 million viewers across all of WWE’s social media platforms.
Last night, CM Punk appeared in the final segment of RAW to address the fans. Punk said that he is back in WWE where he belongs. The former WWE Champion’s promo had to be cut short due to time constraints.
Seth Rollins responded to CM Punk’s chants during last night’s RAW. He said, “I don’t want to spend one more ounce of energy on that hypocrite.”
Sports Illustrated reported that the creative team has a plan for a potential storyline between CM Punk and Roman Reigns. However, Punk’s first storyline will be against Seth Rollins.
“There are plans for Punk to feud with Roman Reigns, Sports Illustrated has learned. But it will not be Punk against Reigns first, as that spot belongs to Rollins. A feud between Rollins and Punk is a massive positive for both men.”
Sports Illustrated also noted that the match between Punk and Rollins could take place on night one of WrestleMania 40.
WrestleMania 40 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
