Vince McMahon's Spokesperson Issues Statement Regarding Janel Grant's Petition, Grant's Attorney Responds

On July 16th, Janel Grant’s attorneys filed a pre-action discovery petition against Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness Inc. Grant filed the petition to seek medical records that she received from Colker at the beginning of November 2019.

Janel Grant stated that Vince McMahon sent her to Colker. Grant added that the WWE wellness doctor didn’t disclose substances, dosages, or the purpose of the pills to her.

The lawsuit is currently on hold until December 11 at the request of the United States Justice Department. A spokesperson for Vince McMahon sent the following statement to Wrestlenomics regarding Grant’s petition:

“Ms. Grant’s petition for pre-action discovery against Dr. Colker is a direct violation of the court-ordered stay, and nothing more than an attempt to generate publicity on her false allegations and to harass people connected to Mr. McMahon, who is being sued by Ms. Grant in a separate matter.

The facts are that Ms. Grant told Mr. McMahon she was fatigued and asked him to recommend a doctor. Ms. Grant called Dr. Colker and became a patient of his. Her statement in the filing is inconsistent with her prior remarks. Ms. Grant never had anything but good things to say about the doctor when speaking to Mr. McMahon and others about him.”

Ann Callis, one of Grant’s attorneys, responded:

“We did not violate a federal stay by filing a state action against a non-defendant.”
