Lacey Evans last competed in a dark match on the July 7th, where she faced LWO member Zelina Vega. Evans was unable to win the match.
On Monday, Evans posted a cryptic tweet and indicated that she was leaving WWE. She also posted a photo on Instagram and stated that “When the clock strikes 12, you will address me as Macey Estrella from here on out.”
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer confirmed that Lacey Evans has departed from WWE. The company didn’t issue a statement regarding Evans. However, they moved her into the alumni section on their official website.
PWInsider has provided a brief update on Lacey Evans. They stated that Evans’ contract has expired Tuesday.
“With her WWE deal expiring, WWE has removed Lacey Evans from their internal roster. She has also been moved to the Alumni section of their website. Evans is a free agent for the first time since she signed a WWE developmental deal back in 2016.”
